Fender Custom Shop '59 Heavy Relic Stratocaster Rosewood Fingerboard Electric Guitar Aged Olympic White
For Fender, 1959 was a transitional year in many ways. For the iconic Stratocaster, the transition came in stages, going from a one-piece all-maple neck to the "slab" rosewood fingerboard and multiple evolutionary changes to the pickguard from single- to multi-ply and from eight to 11 screws, in stages. This Custom Shop instrument pays tribute to that year, with a classic 3-ply, 10-hole Mint Green nitrocellulose pickguard and rosewood slab topping a tinted rift-sawn maple neck. The guitar also features what some consider the best of the classic Fender neck profiles, the '63 C, with vintage-style tuners, a bone nut and a 9.5" radius to deliver superb playability. It's loaded with hand-wound Fat '50s pickups, an American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo and Fender's Vintage Modified #2 wiring for sweet sounds and full-on vintage vibe. As with all Custom Shop instruments, it includes a deluxe hard case and certificate of authenticity. If you're interested in any of our custom shop, limited-run or other premium instruments, we encourage you to call and talk with one of our knowledgeable, well-trained staff for more detailed information about any specific guitar.Heavy Relic-finished alder body25.5"-scale rift-sawn maple neck with rosewood slab fingerboardHand-wound Custom Shop Fat '50s Strat pickups, Vintage Modified #2 wiringAmerican Vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuners
